Pavement Stencil Company, a leading supplier of  pavement marking stencils, is a family owned business. After retiring from the Army, Paul Woods worked fifteen years as the manager of Florida operations for an Ohio based company, manufacturing pavement sealer and traffic paints for contractors in the southeast. During that time he purchased pavement marking stencils for re-sale, however the quality of those stencils were marginal.

Paul decided to retire again. While considering part time work options, he remembered the quality of the stencils he used to purchase and decided he could make them better. This began a new career. He started Pavement Stencil Company in January 1990, with six local contractors as customers. Within six months he was shipping his stencils state-wide and after a year had customers throughout the USA. His only advertising was word of mouth referrals and recommendations.

In 1997, referred by several Illinois contractors, McDonald's Corporation contacted Pavement Stencil Company with a custom order to their specifications for pavement marking stencils for their McDonald's drive-thru facilities nationally. The relationship continues and we are the only authorized supplier for McDonald's stencils.

Also in 1997, Hertz Corporation asked us to manufacture, to their design specifications, the stencils they use nationally.  In 2004, referred by McDonald's, Starbucks Company asked Pavement Stencil Company to manufacture stencils using their unique design specifications for their newly initiated drive-thru facilities.

In 2005, Calvin and Beth Bell became partners with Paul in Pavement Stencil Company. In 2008, we expanded to two locations, opening our main manufacturing facility in Roanoke, VA.

Now we serve over 14,000 clients consisting of contractors, distributors, municipalities, airports and other government entities, business, industry and individuals in the United States and Internationally, and we are still growing!
 
Pavement Stencil Company maintains a reputation for manufacturing quality stencils. Its all we do!  And we ship them quickly and at a reasonable cost.  One of our most important goals is to ship the stencils the same day they are ordered. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours. 

We keep up with State and Federal DOT, F.A.A. and many proprietary specs (McDonalds, Wal-Mart, etc) for pavement markings. Our customers can rely on us to help them determine and fulfill their needs.
